This is a new movie called JT LeRoy. There's a bunch of stuff in this, Bikini Kill, NOFX, Descendents, Beastie Boys etc. D.R.I. really stuck out though.

If anyone remembers the show Salute Your Shorts on Nickelodeon there was an episode where the fat kid and another guy got a bunch of boom boxes playing at once "on deck one a White Snake! On deck two Metallica! And on decks three four and five Nuclear Winter!!" I'm sure nuclear winter was a made up band even though there's probably been a million bands who have used that name by now.

I'm pretty sure it's a fake cross over thrash tape the heshers at the end of Beyond The Black Rainbow are listening to.
The Four Horsemen is playing during Angles transformation in X Men Apocolypse.

"Everybody Wants Some" playing during the claymation hamburger day dream in Better Off Dead unless stuff like Van Halen is too broad

I'm remember an episode of Malcom In The Middle where Reese is listening to something that sounds like parody of early 2000's deathcore. The vocals were complete noise.

EDIT:

Found it: if this is a real band I want to know what it is

Around 2:15

Saigon Kick during the karate workout in A Nightmare On Elmstreet 4.

Seinfeld where Elaine gave the limo driver Metallica tickets and he's deaf the next day.

I'm fishing for clicks so Van Halen is good. I have a bunch of entries queued up for Van Halen like the son from Cops & Robbersons is in a Van Halen shirt, and in the movie Bloody Birthday the daughter has a Van Halen poster. That's in 1981, so thats one of my earlier film entries so far.

It might have already been posted but the members of marylin Manson in an orgy/drug over dose scene in Lost Highway.

Alice Cooper is Krueger’s dad in “Freddy’s Dead, the Final Nightmare”

If purely sound track related stuff counts there’s lots of Megadeth in the horror movie “Shocker”

“Last Action Hero” is an obvious pick for that but can easily be over looked

Steve Tucker (Morbid Angle) plays bass in one of the Cremaster films

I can think of at least two board members other than Ghost Vernon who were in bands and also in movies.

That scene in “Hell Or High Water” where they are playing some deathcore crap and then get the shit beat out of them.

I’m pretty sure it’s the actual audio from the original song and they are just miming it

HBO Max show Doom Patrol, robot dude wears punk shirts.

HBO Max, Titans had Faith No More (season 2 episode 5 I think)

Obviously, Beavis & Butthead

Last season of Buffy the Vampire Slayer, someone references the band SLAYER, also vampire character Spike is portrayed as being punk early on.

There’s a “viking metal” band in the last season of American Gods.
