like the main driving chord of the rhythm guitar (if you want to call it that) is a bizarre sorta soft mush, while the ZINN ZAANG ZIIN ZONNG lead riff has one of the most pristine, lasered-in tones I've ever heard. That is a crazy fucking strange song. Never heard it before. Downloaded a high-quality version just to make sure that video wasn't just cooked from a VHS transfer or something (it is, and the studio version is even weirder).

Middle Class Rut sounds a bit like old Filter. And some other band from that era, with a same-voice singer, I can't quite remember who.
