What's kind of funny to me is how he's gone from something of an environmentalists' idol to being a favorite among Joe Rogan fans. But yeah, Elon Musk yakkin' about free speech while he's cancelling Tesla orders from people who criticized him on the interwebs and actively bullying his employees when they want to unionize is beyond laughable.

I was just thinking today how he's now two for two with good and bad ideas. He was involved early with Paypal, so obviously he knew where the wind was blowing there before most people did, and while Tesla hasn't really invented anything worth a fuck (iirc the only patent they hold is a proprietary charging plug, and you can probably guess why they patented that), there's no denying that they popularized electric cars so much that it fast-forwarded their development by other manufacturers by probably about ten years. But since then he's started a... space exploration company and now he's... buying the worst of all the social media platforms in the name of "free speech". My take is that the money has rotted his brain and he's lost the plot.
