Anyone that the GOP trots out to convince people that their party isn't full of weird freaks will be so unconvincing that it will only reinforce the premise. It's taken longer than it should have, but I think the moderate majority people of America look at the Trump/MTG/Boebert freaks and cringe. Buttigieg is out there making pretty sane, normal points about how "if you actually look at the statistics, inflation-aside, the economy is doing really well under Biden, and crime is down compared to Trump". They're trying to paint Kamala as some extremist Marxist simply because she's not White, even though she's tough on crime, tough on immigration, and pretty moderate across the board. The fact that there's a sizable contingent of Haley Voters for Harris kind of says it all -- the people more down-the-middle don't want a lunatic convicted felon as their President when his whole agenda is simply "undo everything the Left wants" without actually having any proactive plans of his own. We see how terribly that turned out in 2016-2020 other than helping the rich get richer.

I don't love Harris, but I'd like to believe she's gonna win and that may hopefully lead to this MAGA thing fading away and maybe the country will veer towards normies once again. People keep saying "Whoever comes out of the right after Trump will be even scarier," but I have a hard time seeing anyone more extreme ever getting elected just based on the fact that Trump had 40+ years in the public limelight as a controversial-yet-charismatic celebrity figure before he got into politics. I don't think the majority of the country wants a fascist lunatic.

Near as I can tell from what I've seen on Twitter, the line of argument is that T variance is normal in men, but high T women are impossible without foul play.
