I haven't talked to him about it, but I cannot see the guy running Bent Window records putting this out without Blair's go-ahead. Blair is not impossible to get ahold of, even though he doesn't leave whatever cave or dungeon he calls home very often. He moved away from the west coast a long time ago and I have not seen him since, but I like to try and stay in touch. I consider him a friend.

I know ya'll know Goatsblood are fucking good, but growing up in (almost) the same city and getting to see them live multiple times, it cannot be overstated how fucking inspirational they were to me. I can remember the first time I heard them hit a note live, it sounded like a fucking bomb went off and everyone stepped back. It felt like a bomb went off.

(also I finally gave this a listen and it is fucking amazing. it is not some demo-quality shitmix.)
