The ai mcdonalds touch screen will be broken, sure, it'll have heroin diarrhea and MS-13 tags all over it. They just won't come fix it, and it will stay broken for months. Why bother, that's only one clogged spigot on a global network of wealth collection valves. There will be nobody you can call or communicate with, of course, it will be a 1-800-complainers AI voice that says it loves you. That's already basically how my health insurance works, and they're doing fine minus the one guy.

Insurance was probably the worst counterfactual you could give, because their business model is to pay out as few claims as they can get away with under law. UHG could prioritize and deny claims based on literal games of bingo and it'd serve the same benefit to their overall profit margins. AI is not better or worse at it, it just has the sheen of technobabble just complicated enough to fool executives that always always fall for the shiny new thing promising to be better for margins
