artificial intelligence - two words combined that can't make sense
welcome to the AI thread
if there's another one I forgot about, please show me the path
this is the first "what am I looking at" ad I encountered in the wild
there's a lot of AI going on but I am not quite sure how something like this is made. the elf chick looks like CGI but she seems to be wearing prosthetics to add pointiness

I have no idea what the hell that is either, maybe it's shot with real actors but then rotoscope'd over with CGI??

tbh this type of free associative transposition of rictuses is quite similar to how my nightmares look/feel and I don't really know what that says about either "A" "I" or dream logic!

If some genie offered, I would cut off my own feet to get this technology burned from the universe forever. Imagine being told that someone made a video like this, but its your 10yo son or daughter in the starring role. Its not hard or expensive to do this shit, people are just using gaming PCs.... pandora watches onneThe Bill wrote: ↑Fri Sep 01, 2023 12:46 pm Not safe for work: Faith the Vampire Slayer:

Here’s like chapter six of the space romance odyssey I have Chatgpt ghost writing for me. It’s probably a sneak peak into my demented mind, with fictional females from games , porn, andTV shows running around and I’m the male lead. The AI is very limited, but I enjoy how it spins my bullet points into this:

Re: artificial intelligence - two words combined that can't make sense
The tension in the small glass cube reached its zenith as Bill stood there, torn and stone-faced, unwilling to utter the word "fight." The sisters, their hands and feet wrapped with boxing tape adorned with razor-sharp glass shards, stared intensely at each other, their chests and stomachs pressed together with no room to move.
Mai Mao, with her irreverent humor, walked up behind Bill and couldn't resist making a provocative comment. "I may be their sister, but this is kind of hot," she joked, eliciting an incredulous look from Bill.
Lionel Bear Amore, who had been trying to maintain a sense of decorum amidst the tension, couldn't help but respond to Mai's comment with a touch of British sensibility. "My dear lady, I must insist that this is hardly the time or place for such remarks."
The prince, eager to see the duel commence, reiterated the rules, his voice echoing through the courtyard. "The fighters will only strike with fists and feet wrapped in shards of glass. There will be no wrestling, biting, pulling of hair or body parts, or any other forms of foul play."
Mai, seemingly unimpressed with the peculiar Harken tradition, voiced her discomfort. "Harken women sure have a unique way of settling their disputes, don't they?"
The prince, nonchalant about the brutality of the duel, responded, "Harken women have their ways. Now, we shall leave the boyfriend, the sister, and whatever that is," he said, pointing at Lionel, "to witness the proceedings."
As they departed, leaving only the three witnesses and the two battered fighters within the glass booth, Bill couldn't help but feel a sense of dread. The prince's ultimatum weighed heavily on him, knowing that he had no choice but to start the fight.
"Just do it!" urged Mai, her impatience evident.
With a heavy heart, Bill finally uttered the word. "Fight."
The sisters raised their fists and began striking each other relentlessly about the face, chest, and sides. Their kicks were more like desperate flailing, but the strength of their hits echoed loudly, and the glass shards on their wrapped hands and feet tore into their flesh, causing blood to spurt in all directions. It was a brutal and merciless exchange, their panting and drooling punctuating the violence.
Mai, unable to contain herself, couldn't resist making a comment. "Nasty. Don't let me get into a real tiff with either of those two."
"Shut up!" Bill yelled, his nerves fraying.
The fight raged on, each punch and kick inflicting more pain and damage. Blood painted the glass cube in gruesome patterns, only to be cleaned away by a hidden machine, ensuring the grotesque spectacle remained visible to the onlookers. Lionel, terrified by the brutality of the fight, sought refuge behind Mai.
As the battle continued, the sisters' exhaustion became palpable. They lowered their heads onto each other's shoulders, their punches to the chest slowing to feeble taps. Their toes intertwined in a bizarre, bloody toe-wrestling match that seemed to defy all reason.
"Gross, that makes my feet hurt," whimpered Mai, her initial bravado waning.
Bill, overwhelmed by the violence and desperate to stop the fight, pleaded with Mai. "We have to do something. I can't just watch them kill each other."
Mai, her voice tinged with panic, reminded him of the consequences. "You can't interfere, Bill. Remember, if you do, they both die."
Just as it seemed the brutal battle might never end, a sudden and unexpected development occurred. A colossal robot werewolf burst forth, smashing Bill into the glass booth, causing it to shatter into pieces. The sisters dropped to the ground like lifeless dolls.
Bill, dazed but relatively unharmed, scrambled to his feet. As he tried to make sense of the chaos, a mechanical voice called out, "It's a draw. Both contestants have been exterminated."
To be continued...

AI training jobs typically pay about $10-$15 an hour so you're not exactly getting the best and brightest. There's also a big problem of people using chat gtp to complete the training projects. Literally using chat gtp to train gtp. The idea that TV executives are being convinced they will be able to replace script writers in a few years is amazing.

Re: artificial intelligence - two words combined that can't make sense
I used chatGPT to help write some code a couple weeks ago. It kept spitting out stuff that didn't actually work until I walked it through a series of steps, which took a couple hours of iteration - I almost gave up on it. I had to try a bunch different ways to arrive at the results I wanted before it finally got the logic correct, and even then, the code needed some modification to work properly. In the end it was a pretty useful tool, but it's use cases are very few and far between for me. Works best to generate realistic lorem ipsum. I can't believe that Gannet thought it was good enough to write articles about local sports.

Re: artificial intelligence - two words combined that can't make sense
I was absolutely fucking amazed at its ability to quickly spit out code, often for fairly obscure purposes. I had it writing music in BASIC, or old depricated tracker formats. Ran around telling everyone in my house about it. Then I realized almost none of it worked I'm now mostly impressed with the total confidence it has in presenting complete nonsense.
I really do think this will change within a year or two though, it will close the gap and start being right. Then after a while it will define what is and isn't right and we will all have microchips in our brains........
I hate robots forever

It’s not an accident that we’re experiencing ceaseless boom-bust cycles of The Hugestest Tech Innovation: the market demands it
We’re in a perpetual bagholder economy that has laser-focused on short term returns, and that incentivizes engineering more booms so you can cash out before the bust
When this shit gets relegated—like all others—to niche hobbyhorse of a few thousand weapons-grade autists, the broad cultural effects will be ripples from a pebble entering Lake Huron

Fact #7
From an empirical viewpoint, the problem with Free Will (and causality) is reconciling determinism and freedom to make sense of morality.
