How could anyone hate Von? Oh Justin, imagine you and me, a turntable, a copy of Satanic Blood Angel, a 64 count box of Crayolas, and a stack of coloring books. That would be a heavenly delight.

yeah, the good songs on this album are great. I wish had just gone full-on with the cold-semi-glam-rock stuff

By everyone do you mean the masses, or everyone on the board, because a lot of albums I've seen here are board only, anyhow, I think this covers both:

Why blame it on purism and not the fact that they are a thoroughly boring band?

1-800-Boring. Songs are boring to begin with and then so much longer than they should be.

Thanks for the reminder.
Never got into any of their other albums but I still dig the first one.
I pretty much like all Dimmu. Haven't heard the last 2 albums or so though, so I've got no opinion on em.

On the contrary, I think everyone who has ever heard this album loves it. You fail.

i think that first one's wayyy boring, and the instrumentation is lacking compared to what the next two albums deliver
i stopped paying attention to dimmu after 'puritanical'
