especially considering their black label "bier" was fucking GROSS.
still, the high alcohol content pours with about ZERO head.
this was preceded by the Alaskan Baltic Porter which was pretty awful...aside from a strong alcohol flavor kind of similar to shochu...

Magic Hat is pretty gimmicky and hit and miss.. some pretty good brews though. I just will never understand why number 9 is so popular and is their flagship.. that stuff is just god awful.

I actually like #9 but I can sort of see where your coming from. I really wish they would roll out some of their other beers to the same degree they do with #9.
There's a local brewery here called Smoky Mountain Brewery in a local restaurant chain named Calhoun's. I've always enjoyed their beers mightily, and tonight I tried their Winter Warmer which was also a delight. 7/10
