watched the first one a few times but never got around to the others...

#3 was the first movie I saw in a theatre. One of my favorite movies ever. You should definitely see that one if nothing else....

I've seen all of these up to the one where he goes to outer space. That had to be a horrible flick... #7 has always been my fave F-13th (I think it is #7, the one with the telekinetic chick. I haven't seen any of them in 10 years or so though....

oh cmon. sure they are fun to watch still but are you really saying that is was all excellent? freddy was always awesome even before he constantly made jokes but its not like the rest of the characters were oscar worthy

He started making too many jokes by the second installment.

I can get with you on the sequels being "Crappy in a good way" for the most part, but the first one is, in my opinion at least, a genuinely quality flick. It was fairly original in concept and had some really good scares in it. The humor that Freddy engaged in was of an entirely separate nature of where the series ended up. His one liners, if indeed you could call them that, were just creepy mutterings with no "Ba-dum-tssss" factor at all. He just seemed like the revenge bent ghost of an insane child molester, there isn't anything all that har-har about that.

I got really carried away last time NOES came up on here, some I'm just going to cut myself off by saying that everyone should see the original at the very least.

Freddy is played by the guy who played Rorschach in Watchmen.

The first Nightmare freaked me out, particulalry the stretchy arms in the alley way bit when I saw it in 84 or so when it came out.

The rest suck, but I still watched them all, I will see this when its' on cable tv. Speaking of which - Friday the 13th remake was on cable last week and I was glad I waited to switch chanles on that piece of shit remake too.
