I get it. I find it funny you don't as you try to present yourself as some kind of pseudo intellectual on here. I also like the fact he takes her panties off before her bra.

Has anyone ever made one of these smart allecy comic strips where King Kong goes to take Fay Wray and when he picks her up the vine ropes tear her arms off?

smbc is funny once in a while but "tries too hard" is definitely the most apt description of it

Who said I don't?
And what kind of dummy thinks someone would present themselves as a "
pseudo intellectual"?
changing gears...Maneggs has some pretty good ones in a similar vein...

these are like PBF with training wheels... sort of depressing that this guy feels the need to explain everything
same thing with XKCD - for a comic aimed at "smart" people it sure does a fuckload of handholding
I recognize the irony considering the thread we're in...
OK this one's decent - no words,

yeah, some are better than others.
And he's definitely not as good as PBF.
(I only linked the UK blog because I maneggs.com is blocked at work)
I do like the Oscar and A-Team ones a whole lot though; also the man/cat one is pretty great.
Argyle Sweater sucks pretty hard though.

Nope: tragic mix-up at the giant cake delivery service. You fail.

please gaia be joking
penguin is tragically eaten by flying seal; expectation of flightless bird overcoming his ironic handicap is used as misdirection
man is reminded of lost love via color of crayon; the unrealistic textual conveyance of crayon's color (rendered necessary by the monochrome palette, chosen to augment suspense with respect to the color in another case of misdirection) adds a layer of the absurd while facilitating the punchline in parallel

first frame he's holding looking at a picture in a frame...indicative of a lost love rather than an obsession

you can't obsess over a lost love ?
i was taking issue with "reminded", because she's clearly all that's on his mind and your post actually supports that
