Ozzy is 65 and just had a relapse bender while recording a new album for one of the most important bands in history.

If Rick Rubin allowed auto-tune, etc then he needs to have his beard set on fire.

Death Magnetic had way more overt pitch correction, and that was also a Rick Rubin joint. I haven't really been paying attention to what he's been up to in the past... very long time but I wouldn't be at all surprised if I heard more examples of the technology being employed under his watch.

I'm obviously a very extreme fanboy with possibly the most reviled taste in the history of this little internet community - given those admissions, though, I don't find the production here at all distasteful.

The production is the best part I'd say. I will echo the bass sentiment, Geezer sounds beastly. Other than that it's shit and Ozzy is an abomination.

yeah this is pitch corrected. it's more subtle. he's probably using nicer software, but that most likely also means that the vocal performance wasn't THAT bad to begin with. which is surprising. but you get big autotune or melodyne trademarks the more you change the pitch, obviously. you can hear it well sometimes at the end of phrases. check 1:25

also yeah this is stupid and sucks

This doesn't sound like Sabbath. I do want to hear the rest of the album before I pass final judgement. It sounds like they are on to something. I just want to hear what that something is.

really boring song. i'll forgive any nu-production choices if the song is good but this is just weak.

instead of forcing them to listen to the old albums, they should be watching live youtube videos from '70-'75.

i don't understand why this isn't heavier...it is sad without being pissed off and that's unforgivable.

I dig that last riff. Reminds me of Type o Negative. :betternotstartanyshit:

I think this song has potential to be a pretty good studio track, looking forward to it.
