I enjoyed Borderlands quite a bit. I also liked both Lef 4 Dead games.

Looking forward to Borderlands 2, not stinging for it, but will definatley give it a crack.

So no one is looking forward to Mass Effect 3? Planet scanning is gone and the rpg elements are back :tup2: , the PC version isn't coming to Steam and requires Origin .

Bioware has definitely earned some goodwill after TOR, I'll be checking it out.

:| I want to try that game out so bad but I can't support EA throwing their weight around in digital gaming. I will be pirating the hell out of ME3.

 That sounds awesome. It seems like all of Bioware's top tier writers have been working on TOR (I hear the Imperial Agent story is the best thing Bioware has written in a decade) while Mass Effect 2 and 3 and Dragon Age 2's scripts got farmed out to fanfic writers.

Did you buy retail or digital, Slinky? I think if I bought a retail copy and had it sent over here, I wouldn't have to touch Origin...

Playing as an agent I frequently end up laughing at how utterly demonic the game allows my character to become. Downside is I'm getting pretty emperor palpatine in the face. :?

I did end up going digital for the early access whatnot. Got a free speeder and some trinkets out of it.

I dunno, I'm really worried I'll hate it, and what little I've seen of it so far (that retarded gameplay video from the opening level where Shepard's shooting at a Reaper with a gun turret, the introduction of MP, which is a cardinal sin to me) hasn't exactly inspired confidence, so I'm basically trying not to think about it so that I can approach it with an open mind.

I can't truly say I'm excited for it as I haven't heard shit all about the game besides multiplayer. I would be a little excited if my brother didn't sell my copy of ME2, the bastard lied to my face about it too.
I'm most excited for the return of Agent 47, even if it has the Assassins Creed eagle vision shit going on I'm still going to play the hell out of it.

I love ME2 so damn much that I'm keeping up hopes up. I don't think they'll Spider-Man 3 it up, but anything is possible, especially with cash cow titles.

slays

spent a lot of time today downloading psx isos

Never owned one in the glory days. It's funny to look back at what were considered the top-notch games of the time and then consider what people actually use the system to play today.

Action games die almost immediately in the hearts of men, JRPGs grow stronger with time..?

I think I wanna play valkyrie profile

edit: i would love you play some MGS (running through the HD collection right now) and other various titles from my past.

is it as easy as just downloading an ISO and loading it into the emulator?

yes it is that easy, minus one important step - you need a PS1 BIOS file

http://www.emuasylum.com/index.php?page ... laystation

and maybe some other goodies, prolly not doe - I've never had to use any other plugins for it, some people do for graphics and stuff

I managed to get a ps2 emulator running through Parallels. It takes a bit of configuration to get it to work right, but I'm running games at about 45 FPS with no sound lag. Not bad.

I used to be on a PC Gaming forum millions of years ago. I told them I played a SNES game on a MAC using a 360 controller, and they all threw a fan boy fit.

Any rpg nerds going to try out the Kingdoms of Amalur demo today? Looks like it might be pretty cool and supposedly the full game is huge (Pisscubes might want to stay away because it's not 100% open world). Curt Schilling said it's a mix of God of War and Oblivion. Hopefully it has some of Oblivion's retarded charm.
