I've played Limbo on the 360 though.
The only game I didn't receive was Bastion because I'm a cheap asshole, and hates giving to charity. I don't care about that game anyways.

what? no... unzip them here --> steam/steamapps/common/amnesia the dark descent/custom_storieselectronicham wrote:I tried to install two of those mods and both failed. The Abduction mod didn't even have an .exe file and the La Caza.exe file would just bring up a blank MS DOS window for about a microsecond and not do anything. I didn't download them through that Desura shit though.
start up the game and choose "custom stories" from the menu. you should see them listed there. choose one, click on the name, and play.
"white night", and "through the portal" you have to unzip into the main amnesia folder. after you unzip them just click on their .bat file and the game will start.

Re: The Bill's Now Playing Video Game Thread (Now with Bames
the version i downloaded doesn't have an exe file. none of them do. get them from the links i gave you. those are the official frictional games links from their website. you downloaded some janky shit, man.electronicham wrote:God damnit. The README file in La Caza said to move everything just to the Amnesia: Dark Descent folder and run the .exe file, so I assumed all the custom stories go right in that place. Will try later
edit: click the links and scroll down to "latest downloads". download from there. you don't have to download and install that desura shit. i have no idea what that is.

Re: The Bill's Now Playing Video Game Thread (Now with Bames
What didn't I play last night? I have to admit I was off last night. I skills ever not up to my snuff. I also had a wicked case of video game ADD. All the same...
1)Batman: AC - Harley Quinn DLC: Meh! Not that great honestly. Seems like they just bolstered the difficulty to make it last longer. Robin sucks, and suddenly I'm having trouble with squads of goons I'd normally wipe the floor with in the main game. Turned it off a little over an hour into it.
2)WET: Damnnit , the one thing I was enjoying about the game has taken a back seat to horrible Prince of Persia navigation and Quick Time Events. Turned it off after I died like ten times in a row due to a sloppy QTE.
3)WWE SvsR 2K7: I used to love this game. Then the developers refined and changed the controls every year since. Now, I'm finding my old friend controls like shit compared to how they've tweaked things, and re-learning old crappy controls feels counter-intuitive. Plus, I no longer have the old save data, so I would have to put countless hours into unlocking everything again. No thanks, see ya!
4)Asura's Wraith: Decided to give this a whirl. Couldn't even get through the opening credits. QTE, QTE, QTE, half-ass shoot at things, QTE, QTE. I think you need to be stoned to play this game.
5)Marvel Ultimate Alliance: Played through a level as the original Avengers, and I was having fun. Then I had enough, it does get seriously repetitive.
6)Half-Life 2: Oldest game of the night, best game of the night. I used to slightly look down on HL2 because I felt to veered off course from original HL. I've since learned to get over it. Masterpiece of a FPS.

no. get the "La Caza - Custom Story" download. drop the folder into the custom stories folder in steam and go from the amnesia menu. no exe.

Re: The Bill's Now Playing Video Game Thread (Now with Bames
I think I'm all but done with diablo at this point. The flow of that game is horrible. You slog through it for dozens of hours to get drip fed incrementally better gear. It's like playing a dollar slot machine that pays out $1.01 every time. You eventually get somewhere but the process is arduous and uninteresting after the first cycle.
Max Payne 3 was more or less incredible but that's done now too.
I was counting on diablo to last me through the summer drought but that obviously didn't happen. I there anything else coming out soon? I guess torchlight 2 should be out before too long

if there's anybody in the world who'd be fucking unobservant enough to actually damage themselves with trap-soap I guess it'd be the guy with dialup in 2007

Dawnguard is 360 exclusive for one month and probably won't be out until August / September. Nothing is coming out until August that I can think of...mildly interested in Sleeping Dogs and the Dark Souls PC version is out then, too.

Well then I guess I've got time to finish replaying persona 3 and maybe I'll finally play Catherine while I'm at it.
You'd think SOMEBODY would release games in the summer, you know, when kids actually have time to play them?
