I haven't played either of these since they went up on PSN for fear that they won't hold up, but many glorious times were had on these two machines when I was a lad. 6 player X-Men cab or bust, it seriously sucked getting stuck with one of the ones on the far sides

"NOTHING MOVES THE BLOB"

Man the music in the Simpsons game is such a relentless fucking cacophony

Lisa: "Embrace Nothingness"

so lucky to have several arcades near me that still have classic beat'em ups like Xmen, Turtles, Simpsons, Double Dragon. Haven't seen a Final Fight machine though, or i'd be on that.

Yeah seriously, I'm jealous! The one at the mall by my old apartment had a Simpsons machine for years but I think they finally got rid of it a while back  I'm astonished it's still open to be honest. Many of my fondest youth memories are of arcades and pizza places with machines. I remember playing bames at Round Table Pizza with my hoodlum pals when OJ drove by on the freeway in the white Bronco with AC

I was probably playing either Mortal Kombat II or World Heroes, for some reason I fucking LOVED World Heroes when I was a kid. I mained the Rasputin guy.

it's a huge resurgence here.. mainly with Barcades.. 2 opened up within the past year and both are already doing huge expansions and 1 more is opening, plus there is a record store that has a classic arcade in the back room, also free to play if you buy something from the store... been to the Barcade in Brooklyn and a couple more opening up in Manhattan now I guess.. and of Denver has an amazing one too called 1Up.. It's a new trend, but one that I'm fully on board with.

Alien Vs Predator
Cadillacs and Dinosaurs
Dodonpachi Daioujou
Dungeons & Dragon: Shadow Over Mystara
Forgotten Worlds
Ikaruga
Michael Jackson's Moonwalker
  :invcross: :invcross: :mastoman: This is where I would be all day. Fucking Forgotten Worlds! I used to love that game. I also like that every KOF from 1994 to present is represented, I'm not even much good at fighting games (much to my chagrin) but a fucking Garou: Mark of the Wolves cabinet?!

Man. There's no cool barcades in Phoenix that I know of. A friend of mine and I used to go to Castles & Coasters (lasertag/minigolf/family fun type place) about once a month, he was a pinball fiend and liked how many well-maintained machines they had. I would basically just play beat em ups the whole time. It may be time to make another trip...

Yea, I'm at 1up at least a few times a week. They also have a sister bar called 2up downtown. I mostly play pinball while I'm there because the arcade games are mostly older titles. They have an amazing collections of pinball between the two bars though.

If you're ever out this way again hit me up. I know a few excellent retro shops around town. Including one that has a massive amount of imports for Famicom through PS3. Lots of good Saturn shmups as well.

definitely will.. do you ever run into the Game Sack dudes? They have the best gaming show on Youtube, and I know they're in that area.

Reviews are starting to trickle in for Metro: Last Light and I gotta say I'm getting real excited to play this one, DLC scandal or no. I never got to play the first one (Xbox :x ) and this sounds like everything I like in a video game. Some are bagging on the more supernatural elements but they were PSM UK's favorite part of the game: http://www.officialplaystationmagazine. ... -the-road/
It plays like a first-person Silent Hill at times, and at others a version of Fallout made by Michael Haneke.
:drooly: :drooly: :drooly:
This does skate dangerously close to ‘tits for tits’ sake’ territory. There are prostitutes, pole dancers and a lap dance you can repeatedly pay for.

I went on a fishing trip to the Wisconsin Northwoods from Thursday through yesterday. The weather was awful except for one day, so fishing was as really the main focus as drinking took over.

We stopped at a place in the middle of absolutely nowhere that was a log building built in the 1920s and they had a Lightening Fighters cab in there it was really a weird moment for me. I only played one quarters worth, and went back to the bar.

They've proven on multiple occasions that they can't be trusted to deliver what they promised on time, on budget, or AT ALL. I'd love a new ED but I have no interest in throwing money at them prior to release.

Okay then.

Up next?

Resident Evil Directors Cut.

I saw the digital download version of Last Light for PSN+ members will be $48. Nice to see Sony finally embracing decent pricing for digital only games.
