zero sarcasm on that one; it really is a well made comedy in the way it delivers non-funny but necessary storytelling/characterization information subtly/rapidly/effectively and devotes a lot of its time to silly shit that works even better because of all the effective setup. many movies try to get by on the silliness alone but without the context it won't deliver. that might not be the best explanation but I feel I've already typed far too much...

Will Ferrell is at his absolute best in that movie - it's too bad he has tried to carry so many movies as the lead, since he's better off in an insane supporting role like that (never saw EB&D but that seems to be supporting evidence)

American Werewolf In London - 8

Always gets a play around Halloween time. The movie isn't without flaws but it's too damn fun to get nit-picky with.

I've seen a decent amount of it while others were watching - I just can't get down with that whole danny mcbride style of humor where him saying a bunch of naughty words is supposed to be hilarious - he's like a reincarnated andrew dice clay or something

i didnt like that format they were going for either at first. i think you need to sit and watch an episode through, though. it truly is a hilarious show and all the 'offensive' comedy thing really is sort of masking its real comedy. it really doesnt put all of its eggs in one basket like it seems to do if you casually viewed it. like i said, give it a chance for the first episode. you will decide if its for you or not after that

Machete kills. 8/10 You know what to expect. Beautiful women and over the top violence. Of course there's good humor. I can't wait to see Machete Kills Again

Machete Kills - 7

Same strengths and weaknesses as the first Machete essentially. It's not some huge step down like the reviews would have you believe. Like scumfucker said, you know what you're getting and you already know whether or not you would enjoy this. My pals and I had a blast watching it with some beers at the drive-in

I'm spoilering this even though the idea of a plot spoiler for this film is ridiculous of course. Gaga is one of like 4 actors that play this character "El/La Chameleon" who periodically changes skin. It could be a cool idea despite being an obvious excuse for a bunch of celebrity cameos, but the character basically goes nowhere and ends up being completely the latter

Star Trek Into Darkness - 8/10

Ending could've been better, but overall I'm really a-ok with this Star Trek reboot so far.

i havent seen it. i'm going to like it with standard reservations probably. sandra bullock mostly has the cunty charm of a jodie foster shaped piles of sticks. astronaiuts are too blue collar for george clooney. the movie would'nt have been made with more interesting leads.

7/10

The Inevitable Defeat of Mister and Pete. 8/10. This movie is about two kids who end up abandoned by their parents to survive as long as they can on their own. In this movie these kids bear witness to the worst adult behavior and constant chaos. A cool movie about the streets from the Childs perspective.
