really dug that first episode. about to watch the second. I hope it stays like this. I like the idea that they trojan horse'd a bizarre artsy show like this into NBC inside of a procedural format that they're abandoning. I don't know if that's actually what's happening, but I hope so.

It's hilarious that they blurred the nudity on the fucking Botticelli painting. I guess some butts and tits on some 500 year old painting is too much for the people who watch this show to handle.

In this modern age, I'm surprised they superimpose a sticker that says pre-order the Blu-Ray instead of blurring out nudity.

I'm not suprized, some conservative fags blured out the nudity in a Picasso somewhere recently

I like the overall dreamlike weirdness of this show but am I the only one who thinks they are laying that shit on way too heavy this season? Narratively speaking, this shit has gone almost nowhere but god damn let's linger on some snails for a few minutes

I dig the show but cancellation was imminent

I'm surprised it lasted this long but I hope Netflix or Amazon picks it up. It already is funded by some other company, NBC just paid for the license.

You are right Mooretician. They've been laying on the weirdness a lot this season. Eventually the story has to pick up. Still enjoying it though.

Mm, but all those millions of "reality" shows still go strong. I wish Hannibal could escape from the TV and eat a majority of the masses.

Caroline Dhavernas has somehow gotten hotter.

It's because she's slightly evil now. Evil looks goddamn good on a woman in TV land.

I've now heard Thieving Magpie for Clockwork Orange, the Joker, and now Hannibal. Is that like the defacto classical music for serial killers?

Bowels in or Bowels out?

This is probably my favorite moment in the Hannibal movie (which is ridiculously, criminally, unacceptably underrated), so I can see why they wanted to incorporate it, but I still thought it was weird that that whole subplot happens now when the show is supposed to be set before Silence of the Lambs.

You don't say. I never saw Hannibal nor Hannibal Rising.

Amazon & Netficks both passed on Season 4. Actors were released from their contracts so they can do other projects instead.

The dream is dead.... :(

But on the other hand hopefully Mads Mikkelsen can be Euron Greyjoy in GoT.

Just binge watched episodes 4 to 7 and those really made up for my somewhat lukewarm feelings about the first few episodes. Episode 7 is nuts.  Craziest network show ever.

Last episode was unvelievable. This is officially the best season, and I cannot for the life of me comprehend how this is on NBC.

Watched Red Dragon again the other day just because this show has my brain swirling around this stuff again. I've never read any of the books, but it's really kind of fun to see how the show's adapting certain things. For example, they've dumped some of the hokey stuff like the guy who's trying to get into Reba's pants and replaced him with Dolarhyde just deciding he has to break up with her for her safety, which really makes just as much sense and doesn't require a sleazebag character that doesn't fit the tone of the story. Or there's the fact that Hannibal is keeping in touch with him by pretending to be talking to his lawyer on the phone, and instead he jokes about personal ads and messages written on toilet paper.

Course it also helps that the version of Hannibal in Red Dragon was pretty stupid, and the show's actually doing him better. It's not a better version of the character than in the other two Hopkins movies, but certainly better than him snarling and gnashing his teeth like a b-horror character.

Anyway, season rules, show rules, so sad they won't get to finish it.

So, if this show didn't get cancelled would next season have been Silence of the Lambs?
