I lived in Cape Coral for 9 months. It was like they made a city from that neighborhood in Edward Scissorhands.

Also it would be really entertaining if Repulsion played at the same time as All Pigs Must Die.

Fuck that. Half a bill of horseshit and corporate sponsorship still doesn't cancel out the overwhelming powre of at least half a dozen killer bands that a huge chunk of people (myself included) will probably have little to no other chance of seeing any time soon. I would watch Repulsion open for Hellyeah.

like i'm going to justify or explain the nature of living in florida and total lack of band seeing opportunities to anyone

All Pigs Must Die is literally a cleaned up, more marketable Repulsion.

Am I supposed to feel bad about seeing bands I like? Is automatically writing an event off because it involves corporate sponsorship a legitimate stance, or is it an oversimplified, essentially arbitrary position? Am I still allowed to like Magrudergrind?

I mean seriously, for fuck's sake—can someone explain to me how Scion putting on a free show filled with killer bands has a net negative impact on music, the scene, the world, anything? That's not a rhetorical question, I would really like for someone to give weight to that argument. I'm pretty ambivalent about the whole sponsorship thing, but if people feel so strongly about this, then I'm clearly missing something.

i actually don't see how corporate sponsorship shit is not utterly retarded

you just choose to accept it and look past it for whatever benefits you want to take from it

magrudergrind was terrible since day 1 though
