so this is happening.
I'm into it - probably like Harry Potter movies: good for a single, thought-free viewing

I'm in as well but I didn't really expect it to be anything more than around 50%

haven't read any of the books but lots of people seem to have high praise for it. Elizabeth Banks character makes me roll my eyes every time in the trailer, which also reminds of Disney's Battle Royale directed by Tim Burton which automatically sours part of my interest.

I haven't seen a single Harry Potter movie either but I will probably go see this because you know... Jennifer Lawrence

My wife is a god damn frothing goon for that dumb shit but despite it apparently being quite violent I just cannot commit. I'm sure curiosity will eventually set in and I'll watch it but how any of you can be interested, let alone mildly excited is beyond me.

Satantango was awesome

my first thought after it was over was, "I want more." It's edited episodically, with 2 or 3 of the episodes carrying the most weight, but all of them are fucking heavy and absorbing. Has probably one of the hardest to watch scenes in a movie that I can think of (read any review and they'll mention the cat), and it's generally hard to watch thanks to all the back-stabbing, constant rain, dilapidated buildings, filthiness, and depression. Then, seven hours later, you're wondering why it isn't longer and why Tarr couldn't just make a movie that's actually 2 days long.

The Roommate. 4/10 - dopey Single White Female sort of an affair for Gossip Girl/Vampire Diaries' young female audience. I award it extra credit, though, for the bloody catfight at the end.

Yeah, this. I liked it for its overwhelming selfishness and misanthropy (and apparently I forgot that Charlize Theron is a fucking goddess) but something about it just, I don't know...half sucked? There wasn't much painful Diablo Cody-speak and Patton Oswalt was pretty great but aside from that I just couldn't get on board. Total FIVE.

Mommie Dearest 8/10 cans-- bio of Joan crawford-- she was one karazee bitch and a half.

double featured with her final flick--when she was down n' out and willing to take any bullshit movie, Trog(1971)

Trog is a brit flick-- Think a Schlock without the comedy. Actually colorfully filmed and not a bad flick---until the riddiculously cast Joan Crawford takes a MENS leading role--one of the mad scientist/anthropologist with an obviously unchanged script. Sometimes bad is good, but this is just goofy.

The same uptight biddy freaking over not using 14 karat gold hangers for her dirty underwear is tramping along in deep caves of bat shit, sniffing around for gorilla farts to see what vintage necromagus man she can find? It don't fit, even if she is an ugly old hag with 9lbs of makeup by this point on her deathbed.

8/10-- for the trainwreck of it all not because it's such a hoot. No one cums on her tits or inserts rod into her dirty batshit cave. Plick&Ebbert.

John Carter

Definitely good-bad. I can easily understand why a lot of people didn't like it, but I enjoyed it. Flawed, but in ways that ultimately don't matter for what it was trying to be.
