EA claims they were voted "worst company in america" because of homophobes being upset that you can create gay characters in some games. oh and also because people disagree with who's on the cover of madden this year

and if any of those xbox rumors are true, count me out. no way am i payin microsoft a monthly fee. i just want to play a game by myself after work every now and then, not be an internet legend. guess i'm in the destined-for-extinction minority that still likes single player stories

Somehow I find this particularly funny in light of the fact that Casey Hudson spent months, if not years, arguing that there were "artistic" reasons why there was no m/m homosexuality in ME2, over a chorus of BSN users saying they just didn't want to offend the homophobic shooter crowd, only to turn around and have guys fuck each other in the ass on every street corner in ME3 because the fanbase demanded it. Sorry guys, but you don't get to paint yourselves as champions for LGBT rights just because you decided to pander to that demographic after years of pandering to the opposite.

Fucker. I never made it that far... my shame is vast and deep. I must accomplish this.
SMG2 awaits ye... give it a lil while, and jump on that. The story is lacking (I absolutely loved the story in SMG) but the game is fucking wonderful. Yoshi nigga

It's pretty incredible. After going from 20 lives to zero last night I really didn't think I'd be able to do it but I got it on my fifth or sixth try tonight. Games are weird that way
This destructoid rates that level the hardest Mario game level ever
I never found the special stars in SMW to be particularly difficult
Battle Station purple coin level, Lava Spire daredevil & coins were rough as well but nothing compared to Luigi's Coins
The internet people are out here trying to claim that the last Stingray Surfing level, Dreadnaught Trash and Gizmo are all as hard as Luigi's Coins but they're fucking out of their minds

500 bucks for the system OR you can pay 300 bucks and have a "subscription-based" model where you just have to keep paying for the entire console life.
This is something that will never cease to amuse me. The only people who think the concept of "user licenses" makes any sense are the people selling them, and they flat-out refuse to understand that nobody else understands it. To a human being who is not a corporate zombie, "buying a device" means I walk into a store, I give them money for a device, and then the device is my property. People understand renting and leasing, but nobody understands buying the fucking thing and then having to keep paying.
Not to mention, what happens when the next generation arrives?

If the next console generation after the ps4/xobx whatever expects me to pay for a machine, pay 60 plus dollars for a game and then continue you to pay per month to use all the other shit I just bought, then I'm truly done with consoles and I'll be a PC dude and play my old consoles. There is no way I'm going to let them fuck all my holes that bad.
I'm guessing you, me, and pretty much everyone else, and that's why it's not going to happen. I can't see the market changing that much in the next 10 years. Absolutely everything to do with the distribution of entertainment content is always developing towards ease of access and low prices. That's why Steam is successful, iTunes, PPV, video on demand, etc. As soon as the distribution method becomes a hoop you have to jump through, people either lose interest or start pirating their shit.

I downloaded it once and it didn't run properly. Apparently it can't run on OS X versions post Snow Leopard because of a change in how they use resolutions? I don't know if that makes sense, I don't computer talk well.
