my boner started going limp about 80% through until the final paragraph put my dick rocketing through the bottom of my desk:
Wait, what was that? You didn’t like Far Cry 3 either, and wish you didn’t have to buy it to play this? My bad, I think I left off the best part of the synopsis: Blood Dragon is apparently an Arcade title, and doesn’t require the original game. The game is listed on XBox.com with a release date of May 1st. Prepare yourselves.

need some opinions on some bargain bin titles i'm thinking about

the saboteur ($10)
sacred 2 ($13)
red faction: guerrilla ($5)
red faction: Armageddon ($6)
brutal legend ($6) (don't really wanna play it, but you never know)
bayonetta ($10)

leaning towards the saboteur

without presuming you don't do this : i like to just browse the marketplace for indie crap and download twenty demos of things when i've got that kind of money instead of trying to parse what might be worth playing out of a bunch of shit..

they don't have achievements though that's true.

yeah i'd definitely pick bayonetta from that list. some people absolutely hate it though, so you might want to check out a demo

Got to playing Path of Exile again. For a free game, this is good times. I like the variety of builds you can have here, whereas in Diablo 3 it felt much more limited. Duel-welding Duelist is fun.

so, dead space 3... love the weapon crafting, and the first couple hours of the game are great... spacecraft avalanche, city on the moon, runaway train! once you hit the ice planet it just starts to feel like more of the same though, all mountains of madness and john carpenter's thing appreciation aside.

still had fun with it even though the story was piss, but the thrill is gone. this series peaked at part 2.

p.s. pro-bayonetta 8)

This is literally the only game I've played since open beta was released. Level 63 Cit Ice Shadow using freeze pulse with Chaos Innoculation, but I recently added fire traps with added AoE and ignite chance for extra fun. The level of customization in this thing is unmatched by any game ever. They release new skills and patches every week. I can't even imagine all the things they will have added by the time it's officially released. I have no idea why anyone would want to play Diablo 3 after playing this. What is your name on there? I'll power level you if you need it.

They released 3 new support gems for melee yesterday which are going to completly change the game and likely get nerfed. They were needed though because melee builds were a little weak. They work so hard on this game. I've already donated a little money, but I'll probabaly give some more soon.

So, Friday was a mess. I was going to play Metro 2033, but something about it made me nervous and I chickened out  So, I threw on the Golden Eye reboot. It was fine in a strictly run n' gun sort of way (playing it stealth is garbage) for a few levels, but then it's repetition becomes too much. Put on Walking Dead, but got all crazy about every decision I made, restarted it twice, then got too drunk on wine and an empty stomach. After excellent games like Tomb Raider and Bioshock, having shit sessions like this aren't uncommon I gather. Unfortunately, it tends to lead into a gaming slump, where no games peaks my interest.

personally, i'm completely batmanned out... i just hope rocksteady is working on something else cool instead of another batman game. not that i wouldn't like to see what they could do with the new consoles, but i don't know what else there is to explore with the arkham series aside from throwing another group of villains into a game
