I think we had a discussion about a similar case.

And before people start claiming we are sympathetic towards brutal murders. The point in question was how this is a slippery slope eroding the cruel and unusual punishment clause in the constitution. The document right wingers claim to love so much.

It's overwhelmingly easy to carry both "some people deserve to die" and "there shouldn't be capital punishment" in your head at the same time. Not sure why more people don't try it. Might be a skill issue.
