do your choices handle odd time signatures well? 5/8 7/8? how about triplet implimentation?

you know, i'm new to renoise and I haven't really experimented with writing in odd time signatures while using it.

yes it does. proof: venetian snares uses renoise.

I think you can get the demo of Renoise for Windows. Not sure what it will cut out of the features.

i bought NI's abbey road drums a couple weeks ago. a little pricey but goddamn do they sound nice. unfortunately the bit of work i bought them to use on went to another bidder :pwnd:

no harm done though because they're pretty sweet and i'll use them

i think he more means samples, etc. masochrism is right, you're not going to find any for free that are worth a damn. even a lot of the ones you can buy sound canned and awful.
