I've never owned any Iron Cobras. these are powerglides. Are there any typically failing parts on these things that you wouldn't normally think to look for?

If it's a double pedal, check the connecting rod. The joints have a tendency to come loose, and sometimes it bends. Unfortunately the Iron Cobras are nothing like they used to be, I'm not sure if I'd even recommend them anymore at this point.

these seemed to be pretty good, instead of the Iron Cobras. Tried Iron Cobras out and didn't really like them for the money. These seemed to be worth the buck.

Kev picked these up and he loves them. comes with a solid case and extra cams. I liked the reaction time too.

I've got a pair of Iron Cobras that are like 4 years old. They fucking rule so hard. I'm scared of when they eventually shit the bed.

These are ok... I used em one time on tour and I didn't like how the rubber grips kept coming out.

Thanks folks. I found a guy selling them for $100 so I am willing to give them a go. I'm using DW7000s right now and they are alright but not the be all end all.

if you can find an extra $130 or something, L&M had those pearls for I think around $240 brand new with warranty and case. Although, it is all about what your preference.

I've been using a power glide double for 7 years now and haven't had any problems with it. Go for it.

i...have had my cobe's since 2002 or so and they are going strong. lots of shows, I haven't been storing them in their case but rather folding them up in my hardware bag. they will probably shit the bed when i get home now that i have posted this.

i do like them.
