It'll be rough when Christopher Lee dies, eh.. seems like it's not possible. And Clint Eastwood.

Charles Bronson was sad for me.. apparently he had Alzheimer's. And I didn't even know about Stan Winston.

Also, Hunter Thompson and Mark Linkous. Tough when someone you admire takes their own life.

I found out about this in jail by seeing the Rolling Stones issue he was on. After reading that he took himself out I eventually realized that's how he wanted to go. He felt he could accomplish nothing more. So you must respect his choice.
If you'd had the internet in prison you would have known that IT WAS THE FBI !

Yeah, and Hitler took a submarine to the center of the earth to live with Aliens.
He took a spaceship to the North Pole, you ignorant fuck.

Why would you need a spaceship to get to the North Pole? Sounds fishy to me.
To fly at really high altitudes in order to escape planes and AA fire.

EDIT: Sorry, I was wrong about that.

"The Fuhrer left Berlin in 1945, probably in one of the German flying saucer planes, to assume an invisible existence in the subterranean realm of the South Pole, from which, now that the Exoteric War is over, he continues to direct the Esoteric War."

I know there was a rumor about them escaping to Argentina after a German sub surrendered to the Argentine Navy.

Kinda the same for me. I was big into them at the time and I was bummed about it. I even recall being home from school that day and watching all of the coverage on MTV News. Shortly after my school, and I guess the rest of the country as well, had a ton of overnight fans. All of em wearing these Kurt Cobain shirts and shit like that. As soon as I saw that on every girl in my 8th grade class I basically just flipped the switch and said fuck this shit. Stopped listening, sold my copy of Bleach for an inflated price to an asian girl one grade below me, gave away my only Nirvana shirt, and that was that. Now I'll listen to em occassionally if it's on the radio or some shit but I won't purposely put em on.

You two are cute, but conflating the supernatural with a clear cut murder of a journalist for political reasons is just

Well there isn't anything supernatural about Hitler taking a flying saucer to Antarctica. I didn't bring up the alien theory.

Two of my best friends in those days were huge fans (and the ones who eventually got me into them), and I remember not knowing what the fuck to say to them. They were all fucked up over it.

I recently read a description of the room when they found him and it was so fucking bleak. I can't imagine what that guys last days were like.
Yea, It didn't hit me how tragic it was until I read about where and how they found him. :(

Karlheinz Stockhausen (stretching "famous" here)

And, in all sincerity... Michael Jackson. He had become such a monumental figure in the cultural landscape, it just seemed impossible that he was gone. The world is less magical, if more kid-friendly, without him.
