I didn't get the joke when WHG posted that - I'd never heard of the band. Googled it and apparently they broke up because one of them was convicted of sexual crimes against children. Is that the guy you mean is 100% cool?

He was released with his record wiped clean, and he wasn't charged with fucking children, it was exposure.

Yep. It makes sense to me that the legal system there would be more of an authority on what happened and how big of a threat he is before an online community of people who know nothing about the situation outside of Google.

Of course I didn't speak to his legal system. I'm basing this only on what he's told me, but even if he was 100% pedo, it wouldn't matter to me. He's out now and I have no reason to dislike the dude based on my interactions with him. He could be the most fucked up person in the world, I don't know. I said he seemed okay to me. I'm not an authority on anything other than my opinion.
