One of the most uncomfortable scenes ever. I watched it recently (as a father) and had to turn it off... fucking incredible filmmaking.

Edit: full disclosure... I've never seen the original.

I watched it as a father, uncle, brother, and son, but most importantly I watched it as a pervert. And it made me want Juliette Lewis to nurse on my finger. But yeah, de Niro really pulled off the psychopath perfectly in that movie.

I've had a hankering for some horror movies this Hallowe'en; I think I'll do a Night of the Hunter/Cape Fear double bill next time I have a night off.

I didn't read any of that because I don't like to know anything about movies I haven't watched if at all possible. I'll be happy to talk about it after though

Uh, I dunno man. I used to see him almost every single day. He's not as young and toned as he used to be and obviously the silver screen makes him larger than life, but he definitely has a presence about him. I definitely wouldn't fuck with him.

They arrested people around ELF/Daniel McGowan and released them to make them look like "snitches". So that when they got out and were cut off from mutual aid support networks they were part of, it was easier to roll them when they arrested them again for the same non-reason in the first place.
