A friend posted this on Facebook with the comment "This is what happens under NDAA!" as if NDAA wasn't a recurring budget bill and as if Grand Jury intimidation didn't happen before the most recent NDAA. Blegh.

Looks like her blog is live again because she has things to sell! Probably making bank on donations now that it's going viral.

I hate to point this out, but do you think any supporters are going to be saying "Leah is resisting being brought before a grande jury because if she testifies, the accused parties will be put in jail" I think part of trying to keep those people who "didn't do the bad things" off the hook and out of jail is not to run around and say they actually did them STRIKE THAT it might be better to actually say they did not do those bad things.

maybe I can rephrase: I take it that the ideological point of her silence is that they don't have any reason to hold her and there's no evidence she's involved in anything illegal, so they're holding her unjustly, so regardless of who she knows, it's unreasonable that she's being held until she testifies

the point is that: no matter who you are or who you know, if you do perfectly legal things you could still end up detained indefinitely if you consume "free speech" that rubs the government the wrong way

can you clean up that last sentence? i think i know what you mean, but only because i know what you mean.

the other point is that saying anything about anything one way or the other can only help the pigs.

I thought you were still ragging on her for resisting to testify that she doesn't know anything, not that it was stupid they were holding her since that's what she'd do anyways. Carry on.

I'm red-flagged at the border. Last time I walked thru seatac I was literally given a red flag to put in my passport like a bookmark, and every security checkpoint I was directed to a desk with a red flag on it. They actually said "build any bombs lately?" when I walked up to one of those desk. Why am I red flagged? Years ago, I played in a punk band. End of fucking story. I've never even had a traffic ticket, on the Canadian or American side of the border. I've been handcuffed and thrown in cells for hours at a time trying to go to shows in the states. It is FUCKING STUPID.
