I.e. 3 people are standing still in a hallway talking, one person approaches from the north while one approaches from the south, and rather than flatten out along the wall, the 3 people stay in place requiring an awkward shuffle between the 2 passersby.

In these situations, I've developed a habit of loudly saying, "Hallways, eh? How do they work?"

I'm a grouchy old man and I'm allowed to do these things now.

I have to admit apart from punctuality (your train system makes ours look like total shit), nice chocolate, and friendly and open minded people I have almost no preconceptions about the Swiss. Oh and apparently, the Swiss covid denier scene is/ used to be the biggest in all of Europe, so just like any other country , Switzerland seems to have its fair share of morons.
