when that song came out, some guitar (or bass?) magazine included tablature for that song, and the bassline for the entire song was just "0 0 0 0 0 " on the lowest string, and you repeat that 500 times or whatever

I don't know where else to put this but we've lost another to suicide. Chris Moore [who I forget who's actual board name was but am told was Luca blight?] Killed himself the other day. Fuckn blows

I think it's a personification of the stuff he doesn't like about post-industrial society. To me it is a riff on Blake's "dark Satanic Mills". Although I am no poetry expert boy.
Not the bohemian grove type stuff in case thats what yer googling for

Solomon first met Beat poet Allen Ginsberg in the waiting room of the New York State Psychiatric Institute.[2] Ginsberg dedicated his 1955 poem Howl to Solomon. The poem's third section uses the refrain "I'm with you in Rockland", an institution Solomon never attended. Solomon had many complaints about Ginsberg and Howl, including that he was "never in Rockland" and that the third section of the poem "garbles history completely".[3] The reference to Rockland appears to be a poetic fabrication. Ginsberg likely used the name because it was more appropriate and emphatic than "New York State Hospital" or "Pilgrim" (Pilgrim Psychiatric Center, another psychiatric hospital to which Solomon was admitted).[4]

That's terrible. My cousin who lived in Caracas, Venezuela hung himself last year. For anyone to do such a thing, it's not them, but demons. My best friend also I grew up with 8 years ago killed himself by taking the black market animal tranq called Nembutal. He had a dose for me just in case "I wanted to do it with him."

I'm fucking sorry man, can understand. Out of fingers to count dead friends who killed themselves on, and I'm thankful none tried to get me to go along. This is so horrible.
Didn't know they still make Nembys. That shit was what they called "goofballs" in the 70s, IIRC. Had no clue it was still used in the 21st century.
