you’ve gotta be about as smart/informed as a 3rd grader to think this could work
but I’m sure there are billionaires dumb (or demented!) enough to pony up the cash

I recently worked on a project at work to automate notifications of patient cardiac death to Gift of Life, which will hopefully increase the ease and speed of organ donation which can ideally help more people. One organ donor can save up to 8 lives ... or I guess one rich asshole now...

Ah yes, the organ donor list: the DNR for people who can't afford a lawyer to draw up a DNR and best way to have the ambulance take the long way back to the hospital. Rich people sure need those organs because they want to live forever regardless of their personal choices.
Fucking ghoulish

I'm an organ donor but all of mine are so bad now that ethically i should probably remove myself from the list

I’m not exactly certain of what you are trying to say here but patients do not need a lawyer to express their preference against lifesaving measures. It’s simple conversation that happens after you are admitted to the hospital not something that happens before the ambulance ride.
EMTs responding to a call don’t check for organ donation status, and hospital staff absolutely don’t know or take that into account when providing care.
Some of my patients are convicted felons, and even that didn’t change the way I would care for them … there is a spot in the health record to tell me their preferred pronouns, which is relevant for care - but no spot to show organ donor status because that only becomes relevant after they are pronounced and per law gift of life is notified.
