I'm of the age where movies and music can make me cry. I think it's attached to nostalgia, mostly. When listening to albums I used to have in heavy rotation, it can trigger a response. When watching something and it echos an experience I've had, it can make me start tearing up. It doesn't provoke a sobbing, uncontrollable response, but it's a feeling that's impossible to ignore.

I know everyone hates Lamb Of God but the video for 11th Hour where it juxtaposes middle eastern civilians, little girl holding up a sign saying “don’t kill us” and then the veteran chain smoking and chugging a liter bottle of whiskey with the letter at the very end stating “back on active duty” is some bleak shit.

If I'm being honest, the psych meds knocked those down
BUT
two nights ago, I was on a grip of different cold medications (for medication purposes) and I can't say precisely which emotions were at play but they mcfucked my evening up for sure

Diphenhydramine/benadryl in normal doses almost always gives me a very pleasant feeling of nostalgia. I have horrific insomnia, and for many years I'd take benadryl every night to try to induce sleep. After a while it became an odd habit to take 1 or 2 and think about old times in the late evening.
Found out later that that stuff causes dementia. I'm not a doctor but I think all those pleasant recollections were probably my brain mummifying itself, and now I'll be retarded when I grow up.

I’ve got two teenagers a greek wife, and a dog that barks at ghosts. I’m always anger about something.
