Please help. Do you ever feel like nothing sounds good? What do you do?

My usual thing during work is, I'll click on "show me some random albums" then I'll choose one of the albums. Maybe this isn't a good way to choose.
There are a bunch of albums and bands in my library that I've never heard of in my life, or actively dislike. This is probably not helping.

NP: Pixies - Doggerel

I've got a "likes" playlist of a lot of songs.
If I can't think of something I'll just play that on random until something clicks. At least I'll hear something I haven't heard in a long time.

imo - i cant really help because i believe it just happens from time to time and is part of getting older. i think dumb & tasteless people dont have this problem. for me, i attribute most acutely poor attenion span or lagging ability to feel good or even enjoy anything at all to depression and tend to just 'ride it out' if i can

forcing it when im in it tends to frustrate and highlight the problem more

going back to things that are old and unkillable and perfect

random never works

also if you're pure digital mp3/streaming etc you may have completely forgot what actual physical music sounds like (very good)

which is no joke

like raw dogging the best

or one of those videos where they turn a deaf kids hearing aid on for the first time and they weepsk

If all else fails, just get two sticks and a tin can and make new music.

No its basically like 78-92, with very little rap at all - its more like r&b before boyz2men or new jack type stuff totally took over.

I have my own digital library like a nerd. It's mostly flacs at the point. But the crappy amp and preamp and poorly positioned bookshelf spekers probably aren't helping. Buying audio gear will make me happy right?
Library is full of shit i've never heard of or actively dislike. But the thought of organizing is even worse.

Going into some genre that you don't really know kind of helps for a minute.
Old rnb sounds like a good idea.

Motown is something that you almost never encounter in nature and absolutely cannot fail to lift your mood at least a little
