Unfortunately the stacked cast and over-the-top performances couldn't save Batman Returns from being a mess. I watched it for the first time recently along side a couple other 90s summer flicks I avoided - Mario Bros. & Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles. I liked Batman the least of those three, personally.
